Getting London Theatre Tickets if Sold Out
Get London Theatre Tickets if Sold Out
There are several places to get London theatre tickets if sold out. Since most of the online theatre ticket sellers are linked to the same central ticket database, if tickets are sold out on one website, this is a sign that they are sold out everywhere. However, we’ve come up with a list of places to check that sometimes have last minute ticket availability when other places are sold out.
So make sure to check through this list carefully for maximizing your chances of finding theatre tickets!
Step 1
The first place to look for tickets is here and here. These two London theatre ticket companies have last minute deal pages on their websites, which sometimes include tickets for sell-out shows like the Lion King or Wicked. Whilst very often these will be for more expensively priced tickets, sometimes cheaper tickets can come onto the market at a fair price.
Step 2
The second place to check is here. If you are planning a trip to London that includes a stay in a hotel, then these London theatre packages are a great option. Pay the regular price for a London Hotel, and include theatre tickets of your choice. Prices tend to be very reasonable and offer good value for money. You can stay in the hotel for any number of nights you choose, and most major hotels are included in the package.
Step 3
The third place to check is here and here. These are two of the most popular reseller ticketing sites in the UK. Sometimes people who have purchased theatre tickets are unable to attend the shows, and so are happy to resell their ticket, even if it is at a lower price than what they originally paid for it. This means that last minute tickets can come onto the market when other sites are sold out. Make sure to check the final price on the checkout page, as sometimes high administrative fees may be applied. Also be careful not to overpay, as professional ticket sellers sometimes buy theatre tickets in large quantity and try to sell them at really inflated prices on these sites.
Step 4
The fourth place to look is here. National Rail run a 2-for-1 scheme on selected theatre tickets. Buy a train ticket into London, and you’ll get 2 theatre tickets for the price of one. However, due to this amazing offer, tickets tend to get sold out very quickly, but it is worth checking!
Step 5
The fifth place to look for sold out tickets is here. This London theatre club is free to join, and members get emails about last minute theatre offers, at amazingly reduced prices. Normally the offers are available for plays where there are too many tickets available, and the producers want to fill up the hall. But occasionally otherwise sell out performances have a group of tickets that haven’t been sold out, normally because they were set aside as complimentary tickets for promoters. These are then offered to this theatre club at amazing prices.
