London’s New Year’s Eve Fireworks

London is famous for having one of the best New Year’s Eve fireworks displays. It’s so popular that tickets are limited to only 100,000 people who are allowed to watch the display on the Southbank. Expect around 70,000 fireworks to go off during the display, with the event watched by millions of people around the world. The majority of fireworks are released from three large barges that are positioned in front of the London Eye. Soundtracks are traditionally played during the event, and previous years have included songs by The Beatles, Coldplay, Adele and Queen. Since 2011-12, each firework display has been based upon a theme. Last year’s celebrated London’s relationship with Europe.
