Windsor Castle

Windsor Castle is a journey through 900 years of royal history. Its imposing architecture and opulent interiors offer a glimpse into the lives of British monarchs. It is the official residence of King Charles III. As you wander through the State Apartments, marvel at the stunning artwork and intricate details. St George’s Chapel is a breathtaking sight, the size of a small cathedral, with its magnificent stained glass windows and soaring ceilings. This is the last resting place of Queen Elizabeth II.

The tour includes an excellent audio guide with an introduction from King Charles III. The guide takes you through the state apartments, castle precincts and St George’s Chapel. It is available in 9 languages.

Windsor Castle is closed on Tuesdays from October to June and on Wednesdays throughout the year. When the castle is closed, enjoy a guided walking tour of the pretty town of Windsor. The town is situated on the banks of the River Thames. Discover its narrow cobbled streets with charming tearooms, pubs and cafes.

StonehengE

A UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the best preserved prehistoric monuments in the world. Admire the enormous standing stones, which weigh up to 30 tons (30,000 kilos) and are arranged in a circular formation. Archaeologists believe the 5,000-year-old site had a religious and ceremonial purpose, but nobody knows for sure, which adds to the great mystery of the site. A free audioguide can be downloaded from the App Store onto your smartphone with commentary available in 11 different languages.

There is a cafe and souvenir shop on site.

Pub Lunch

The George Inn, Lacock

Enjoy a walking tour of the ancient village of Lacock, one of the prettiest villages in England, which has been used as a filming location in many movies, including Harry Potter.

Lunch is served in the George Inn, a 14th-century pub.

Bath

The Historic Bath Abbey and Roman Baths building in the old town center,

The Romans founded the city of Bath in 70AD to utilize the natural spring waters and from which the city derives its name. In the 1800s, the city grew and became a fashionable spa town. Enjoy a panoramic tour of the city with its Roman remains and beautiful Georgian architecture, terraces, and cobbled streets. There will be time to visit the historic Bath Abbey and the iconic Pulteney Bridge. You can shop, explore, or have afternoon tea in the pump rooms.

Please note:

• The tour departs at Victoria Coach Station Gate 19 – 20, at 7.45am (Boarding starts 7.30am) and concludes near Gloucester Road underground station at approximately 9pm.
• Windsor Castle is closed on December 25 and 26.
• St. George’s Chapel is closed on Sundays.  There will be extra time to explore the castle precincts.
• On rare occasions, if the George Inn is not available, we use a suitable alternative. Lunch will be taken late in the afternoon and the order of the visit may change, so lunch may be replaced by supper.
