This Southampton to London tour combines a comfortable post-cruise transfer with a panoramic sightseeing drive through the capital, followed by a guided Borough Market food experience in one of London’s oldest and most famous food markets.

On arrival in London, enjoy views of some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Parliament Square, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square, St Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower of London and Tower Bridge.

You will then continue to Borough Market, where your expert local guide will introduce you to the flavours, stories and character of this historic part of London. Enjoy classic British tastings, discover one of the capital’s great foodie landmarks, and finish with wine and cheese in a historic local pub.

Panoramic Tour of London

On arrival in London, enjoy a panoramic sightseeing tour through some of the capital’s most famous landmarks before continuing to Borough Market.

Entering the city, passing Hyde Park, we continue towards Westminster, where you’ll see Parliament Square, the Houses of Parliament, and the world-famous Big Ben clock tower. On the opposite side of the square stands Westminster Abbey, the historic royal church where King Charles III was crowned.

Your London sightseeing drive continues past Trafalgar Square, home to Nelson’s Column, before passing St Paul’s Cathedral, one of the city’s great architectural landmarks. You’ll then see the Tower of London, a 1,000-year-old fortress beside the River Thames, before crossing the famous Tower Bridge and arriving at Borough Market.

This is a wonderful introduction to London, combining royal landmarks, historic monuments and some of the city’s most iconic views before your guided food experience at Borough Market.

Borough Market Guided Walking Tour with Food

On arrival at Borough Market, you will meet your expert local guide for a guided walking tour through one of London’s oldest and most famous food markets. The tour is split into two smaller groups, with a maximum of 16 guests in each group.

Discover the flavours, stories and atmosphere of this historic part of London, with over 1,000 years of trading history. Borough Market has grown from its medieval roots into one of London’s best-loved foodie destinations, popular with both visitors and locals.

Along the way, enjoy a carefully chosen selection of tastings from some of the market’s best-loved vendors. Try a classic British sausage roll from a favourite London butcher, followed by freshly prepared fish and chips, one of Britain’s most famous comfort foods.

Continue through the market to Humble Crumble, the award-winning dessert stall recently visited by the Prince and Princess of Wales, where you’ll enjoy a warm fruit crumble.

Wine and Cheese Tasting

Your Borough Market food experience ends at The Mughouse, a traditional Victorian pub. Here, you’ll enjoy a three-cheese plate featuring English classics, each paired with a tasting of wine.

After the wine and cheese tasting, return to the coach for your Central London hotel drop-off.

Timings

5.00am – 6.00am: Most cruise ships arrive at Southampton Cruise Terminal

7.00am: Disembarkation normally begins

8.00am: Your driver will be waiting outside the arrival terminal, holding a sign. You will be accompanied to the coach, where your luggage will be loaded into the hold

8.30am: Depart Southampton Cruise Terminal in a luxury air-conditioned coach

10.30am: Arrive in London and begin the panoramic sightseeing tour

12.00pm: Begin the Borough Market guided walking tour with food tastings

2.00pm: Central London hotel and Airbnb drop-offs begin

London Drop-Offs

This tour includes drop-off at selected Central London hotels.

If your hotel is not on the list, or if you are staying at an Airbnb, please enter your address in the additional information box during the booking process. We will then contact you with details of the nearest available drop-off point, which will usually be a nearby hotel.

If you are taking a flight from Heathrow Airport, Gatwick Airport or Stansted Airport, we recommend being dropped off at Victoria Station. We usually drop off at Victoria between 2.30pm and 3.00pm. From here, there are train and bus connections to the major London airports.

We often use several vehicles in London to speed up hotel drop-offs. Your driver will manage this for you on the day.

Each person is allowed a maximum of:

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the route and the busy market environment, this tour is not suitable for guests with mobility impairments, wheelchair users, or guests with strollers.
