Our Lake District day tour from London takes you to some of the most spectacular locations in one of the most beautiful regions in England. Departing from London Euston train station, you’ll travel with reserved seats on Virgin Trains to Oxenholme train station in the Lake District. On arrival, you’ll be greeted on the platform by your highly knowledgeable tour guide who’ll be with you throughout the day. The day will be spent discovering some of the region’s most impressive lakes. Start with a cruise along Lake Windermere, followed by visits to Hawkshead, Hilltop Top and Tarn Hows. Afternoon tea is spent at the family home of Beatrix Potter where you’ll enjoy tea and scones in one of the most idyllic locations in the Lake District. From here, drive through some of the most spectacular landscapes before returning to Oxenholme Train Station, arriving back in Central London in the evening.

- 08:00: Make your own way to London Euston Station where our tour representative will pass you your train tickets.
- 08:30: Train departs Euston, arriving at Oxenholme Train Station in the Lake District at 11:08
- 11:10: Meet your tour guide and depart the train station for a full day tour of The Lake District, including transportation, tour guide, afternoon tea and all entrance fees
- 18:30: Train departs Oxenholme Station, arriving at London Euston at 21:24. (NB. Train times might vary on Saturdays)

- Arrive at Lindeth Howe Hotel, a former home of Beatrix Potter. Set in 6 acres of majestic countryside, you’ll enjoy a true afternoon English tea with scones, jam and clotted cream.
- Drive back towards Windermere, passing more beautiful countryside and head to Oxenholme train station
- Depart Oxenholme and arrive at London Euston Station at 21:24
Please note that during the winter months (between 2nd November 2020 and 19th February 2021), the tour does not visit Hill Top House. Instead, we journey into the Mountains and the Langdale Valley, which was formed by glaciers millions of years ago. The area provides the classic Lake District scenery, you will have the chance to stop at the picturesque Blea Tarn, you might even see a few of the local Herdwick Sheep!

- This Lake District tour is non-refundable and non-amendable.
- The house at Hill Top Farm is not open on Fridays. However, the tour will still visit its Garden and Shop during the summer
- We are unable to offer the tour to children under the age of 5
- All times are approximate and itinerary subject to change. We reserve the right to alter or cancel tours in the event of severe inclement weather, traffic congestion or for operational reasons
