Your visit to the Churchill War Rooms is self-guided, giving you time to explore at your own pace after the walking tour.

What You Can See Inside the Churchill War Rooms

Inside the Churchill War Rooms, you can explore the extensive underground bunker with its many rooms where wartime strategy was planned.

Highlights include the Cabinet Room, where Churchill and his War Cabinet met, and the Map Room, which has been preserved to show how it looked at the end of the war. You can also visit the Churchill Museum, which tells the story of Churchill’s life, from his early years and military career to his time as Prime Minister.

The museum includes personal objects, wartime displays and exhibits that help explain Churchill’s character, leadership and legacy.

The tour starts by the Boadicea and Her Daughters statue on Victoria Embankment, London SW1A 2JH.

The nearest Underground station is Westminster. Use Exit 2.

When you take Exit 2 (Victoria Embankment) at Westminster Station and walk up the stairs to street level, you will emerge immediately beside the Boadicea and Her Daughters statue.

Please arrive at 1:45pm for a 2:00pm departure.

The walking tour finishes at approximately 3:30pm outside the Churchill War Rooms, London SW1.

If you select the option with Churchill War Rooms entry, your booked entry time is 3:30pm.
