Day 1
Oxford
Your private tour begins with a visit to the historic university city of Oxford, home to the oldest university in the English-speaking world.
Join your guide for a walking tour through the city centre, passing many of Oxford University’s famous colleges and landmarks. These include Christ Church, associated with Lewis Carroll and Alice in Wonderland, as well as the Bodleian Library and some of the city’s beautiful college courtyards and gardens.
Blenheim Palace
Continue to magnificent Blenheim Palace, one of England’s grandest stately homes and the ancestral home of the Dukes of Marlborough.
Explore its sumptuous State Rooms, impressive collection of artworks and beautifully landscaped grounds. Blenheim Palace is also famous as the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
Bourton-on-the-Water
Travel through the beautiful Cotswolds countryside to Bourton-on-the-Water, one of the region’s best-known villages.
Bourton on the Water
Often called the “Venice of the Cotswolds”, the village is famous for the River Windrush, which flows through its centre beneath a series of picturesque stone bridges.

Day 2
Gloucester Cathedral
Begin the second day at magnificent Gloucester Cathedral, parts of which date back more than 900 years.
Explore the beautiful cloisters, medieval architecture and stained-glass windows. King Edward II was buried here in 1327, and the cathedral has also been used as a filming location for the Harry Potter films.
Bristol
Continue to Bristol, a city with a rich maritime heritage on the River Avon.
Its historic harbour has been transformed into a lively waterfront district filled with museums, cafés, restaurants and cultural attractions.
See Brunel’s famous SS Great Britain, launched in 1843 and one of the most innovative ships of its time.
Bath
The day ends in the beautiful city of Bath, famous for its Roman heritage and elegant Georgian architecture.
Bath Abbey and the entrance to the Roman Baths
Visit the Roman Baths, constructed around the city’s natural thermal springs and once an important centre for bathing, socialising and worship during Roman Britain.
Afterwards, explore the historic centre and admire Bath Abbey and the honey-coloured Georgian architecture for which the city is famous.

Day 3
Lacock Village
Begin the day in the picturesque village of Lacock.
With its historic cottages, narrow streets and beautifully preserved architecture, Lacock feels remarkably untouched by modern life. Your guide will take you on a walk through the village and explain its long history.
Lacock has also appeared in numerous films and television programmes, including Harry Potter, Pride and Prejudice and Downton Abbey.
Stonehenge
Continue to one of Britain’s most famous prehistoric landmarks, Stonehenge.
Walk around the extraordinary 5,000-year-old stone circle and learn about the people who constructed it and the mysteries that still surround its original purpose.
There is also time to explore the Visitor Centre and reconstructed Neolithic houses.
Salisbury
The final stop of the day is the historic cathedral city of Salisbury.
See magnificent Salisbury Cathedral, famous for having the tallest church spire in Britain. The cathedral is also home to one of the best-preserved surviving copies of the Magna Carta, dating from 1215.
Continue with a guided walk through Salisbury’s historic centre, including its traditional market square, old streets, shops, pubs and cafés.

Day 4
Winchester
Your final day begins in Winchester, one of England’s most historic cities and once the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Wessex.
Discover stories of Alfred the Great and the legends surrounding King Arthur and the Round Table as you explore the city’s historic centre.
See Winchester Cathedral, one of Europe’s great medieval cathedrals and the burial place of author Jane Austen, as well as the city’s attractive streets and historic buildings.
Windsor
Your final destination is the royal town of Windsor, beautifully located beside the River Thames.
Enjoy a guided walk through the town’s historic streets, lined with traditional pubs, tearooms and shops, before visiting magnificent Windsor Castle.

Windsor Castle has been a royal residence for more than 900 years and remains an official residence of King Charles III.
Explore the magnificent State Apartments with their priceless artworks and furnishings. When open, you can also visit St George’s Chapel, the final resting place of Queen Elizabeth II and many other British monarchs.
