more About Tower Bridge
Tower Bridge, constructed from 1886 to 1894, is a combination of a suspension and draw bridge. Located close to the Tower of London, the bridge connects the two banks of the River Thames and can open to allow the passage of large ships. It consists of two bridge towers, each designed to withstand the tremendous horizontal and vertical forces. The bridge deck is free to access for both vehicles and pedestrians, whilst the towers, high-level walkway and Victorian engine rooms can be viewed as part of the Tower Bridge Exhibition.
