Get tickets to visit the Painted Hall in Greenwich at the Old Royal Naval College. Known as the ‘Sistine Chapel of England’, this extraordinary hall is a masterpiece of Baroque Art. Built-in 1692 as a home for returning seaman, it was designed by Sir Christopher Wren, the same architect who created St. Paul’s Cathedral.
Tickets include entrance to the Painted Hall and surrounding exhibits, the Sackler Gallery, as well as an audio guide and an explorer map.

Visit the Sackler Gallery, which explores how the Hall was painted, and learn more about the characters depicted on the ceiling. Discover how the painting reflects this period in history, where Britain became a dominant power in Europe.
Enjoy the “hands-on treasure chest”, a unique collection of objects inspired by the painting. Try on King William’s crown and cloak, dare yourself to stare into Medusa’s face on Athena’s shield, or hold up King Louis XIV’s broken sword.

The Painted Hall is located just a few minutes walk from Greenwich Pier. Visiting Greenwich is a perfect day out, and you can combine a visit to the Painted Hall with a trip to the nearby Cutty Sark & Royal Observatory, Greenwich Market or National Maritime Museum. Alternatively, take a walk in the park, and visit the Royal Observatory.
