The Queen’s Birthday Parade will take place in London on 8th June 2019. This official ceremony, also known as Trooping of the Colours, sees a dazzling display by the Queen’s personal troops. There will be plenty of Pomp and Circumstance on display, with over 1400 officers and men on parade, together with two hundred horses; there will also be musicians and marching bands. The Queen arrives to inspect the troops in a horsedrawn carriage, and there will be a flypast that takes place over Buckingham Palace by the Royal Airforce. The parade route passes by Buckingham Palace, Horse Guards Parade, and visitors are recommended to watch on The Mall or on the edge of St James’s Park overlooking Horse Guards. The event takes place just a few days after Beating Retreat, another military ceremony.
The Queen’s Birthday Parade takes place on 8th June 2019. Tickets are free, and the event starts at approximately 10am.
