Shirley Valentine is showing at the Duke of York Theatre in London’s West End for a limited 12-week run. This one-woman play takes place from 17 February until 6 May 2023. Shirley Valentine is a story of women’s empowerment, a woman stuck in an unfulfilling suburban life who has a dream that one day she might just leave a note saying Gone! Gone to Greece. Many people will remember the Shirley Valentine film starring Pauline Collins and Tom Conti. In this stage performance, Shirley Valentine will be played by Sheridan Smith, who has starred in many dramas and sitcoms, including Gavin and Stacy and The Royale Family.
