The Kimono exhibition will take place in London from 29th February to 21st June at the V&A Museum. This groundbreaking exhibition will explore the evolution of Kimono, from a traditional Japanese garment to its present day image as an icon of fashion. Highlights will include rare garments from the 17th and 18th Century, as well as examples of cross-cultural clothing, performance costumes, and works from today’s leading Kimono designers. The garments will be accompanied by film, paintings and prints that put the clothes in a cultural and historical context.
