The Kimono exhibition will take place in London from 27th August to 25th October 2020 at the V&A Museum. This groundbreaking exhibition will explore the evolution of Kimono, from a traditional Japanese garment to its present day image as an icon of fashion. Highlights will include rare garments from the 17th and 18th Century, as well as examples of cross-cultural clothing, performance costumes, and works from today’s leading Kimono designers. The garments will be accompanied by film, paintings and prints that put the clothes in a cultural and historical context.
The Kimono Exhibition will take place at the V&A Museum in London, from 27th August to 25th October 2020. It had originally been scheduled to take place from 29th February to 21st June 2020 but was postponed due to COVID-19.
