There are two tours that depart from London that go to Windsor Castle & Stonehenge. One tour goes to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge & Bath, the other tour goes to Windsor Castle as part of a small group tour. These are hassle-free ways of getting to and from Windsor Castle and Stonehenge from London and both options come with a tour guide and transportation.

The only really viable option of traveling to Stonehenge from Windsor Castle is to drive. It’s about 65 miles from Windsor to Stonehenge and the journey can take between 60 to 90 minutes depending on the time of day and traffic conditions.
Public transportation between Windsor Castle and Stonehenge is really a nightmare and not a viable option. Allow for ad least 3 hours – you’d need to take 2 trains, one from Windsor back into London to Clapham Junction. From here another train back out to Salisbury, and from Salisbury a bus to Stonehenge. A really round about way of getting to Stonehenge from Windsor and not worth the hassle in our opinion!
