About the Show
Phantom of the Opera is one of the most popular musicals in London, with music written by the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber. It first opened in London in 1986 and is the second-longest running West End musical. The musical is based on the French novel written by Gaston Leroux in 1910. It tells the story of a masked figure who lurks beneath the catacombs of the Paris Opera House, exercising a reign of terror over all who inhabit it. When he falls in love with Christine, an innocent young soprano, he devotes himself to creating a new star! In London, you can watch the show at Her Majesty’s Theatre.
