In this truly German encounter, the world famous conductor Valery Gergiev returns to London in March 2017 for a performance of two giants works of German classical music – Brahms & Strauss – with the London Symphony Orchestra this March. Strauss’s classic work “Also sprach Zarathustra”, a tone poem for orchestra is followed by the Brahms violin concerto. Conductor Gergiev is joined by Janine Jansen, one of the finest violinists of our generation, and winner of multiple prizes and awards. The concerto is adored by audiences for its delicate melodies and heart wrenching storyline. The London Symphony Orchestra is considered as one of the finest orchestra’s in the world and will perform in the impressive Barbican Centre concert hall.
