Easter Concert: A German Requiem in London, March 19, 2017
This festive Easter performance of Brahms’s German Requiem will take place in London in March 2018. The Philarhonia Orchestra will be joined by the Philharmonia Chorus for a performance of this monumental work by Brahms, considered by many to be the greatest choral work in the classical music repertoire. Led by conductor Karl-Heinz Steffens, it includes a star-studded line up with soprano Elsa Dreisig and baritone Michael Kraus. The program also includes Brahms Clarinet Quintet in B Minor, one of the finest pieces of classical music in the repertoire.
