Since there isn’t a dedicated Downton Abbey Exhibition in England, you can visit the real-life Downton Abbey instead at Highclere Castle! See the rooms that were used in the making of the TV Series, such as the Dining Room, State Apartments and living quarters, and have a walk around the magnificent gardens and grounds. There’s even a possibility to have afternoon tea in the tea rooms!
A short drive away is the village of Bampton, which is the real-life setting of the fictional village of Downton. You can see the post office, cottage hospital, church and market square that were all used in the making of Downton Abbey.
