Declaration of Arbroath Exhibition, National Museum of Scotland, 27 Mar - 26 Apr 2020
The Declaration of Arbroath exhibition takes place at the National Museum of Scotland from 27th March to 26th April 2020. Visitors will have the opportunity for 1-month only to view this important document, written 700 years ago. The letter, written in 1320, asks the pope to recognize Scottish independence. This is a copy of the original letter, written in Latin, and is so frail that it can only be displayed to the public for a limited amount of time. The last time it was displayed was 15 years ago!
