The Sussex Yeoman is our favourite gastropub in Brighton, offering a winning combination of fresh food, excellent staff and friendly guests. The kitchen uses locally sourced ingredients, and menus change seasonally. Some colourful highlights include dishes such as venison, plaice, rabbit and the yeoman burger which is handmade on site. 64 Degrees: best unique dining experience
Situated in the Lanes, 64 degrees is a small restaurant with an open kitchen that offers a range of tasty small plates, all from local produce. Diners especially love the theatre of watching the chefs preparing, cooking and serving the tasty dishes as well as the friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The menu includes 4 fish, 4 vegetable and 4 meat dishes, each carefully chosen and prepared. Highlights from our visit included the local fresh fish, barbecued chicken wings and watercress on Jerusalem artichoke with hazelnut. In 2012 & 2015 the restaurant was recognized as one of the best restaurants in Brighton and nationally by being voted 16th in the National Restaurant top 100 list.
